This week Adam went to little Rock, Arkansas to take on a pulled pork spicy BBQ sandwich with a sauce called shut up juice. Adam first went to Jenning BBQ, he cooks BBQ for local police and firefighters. Each portion consists of a turkey leg, a pulled pork sandwich, a whole chicken, ribs and brisket. Whatever is not finished is saved to share, so nothing goes to waste.
Before the challenge Adam went to Cothams to try the biggest burger in town “the hubcap”. Cothams was built in 1917 as a general mercantile store in the Scott area for area farmers and plantation owners. In 1984, a small eating area was opened to serve lunch to area farmers. Adam decided to get the quadruple hubcap with double dipped onion rings. The burger and onion rings looked very tasty. I’d probably take it home and work on it for about a week!
Adams final stop was at Mean Pigs BBQ to attempt the habinero pulled pork challenge. The pork shoulders are smoked outback. Out of the thousands who have tried the challenge only 60 survived. Adam was already sweating after the first couple of bites. Adam then decided to eat it as fast as he could to finish. Adam had to keep it down for 5 min. after finishing it.which looked easy enough because he was able to have beverages. So Adam successfully completed another challenge. I think by now he has a stomach of iron!
