The first competition was to create an International dish from the country they picked. Ariel picked China, Dave picked India, and Kevin picked Mexico. Chef Ramsay had chefs famous for each country’s cuisine come and help judge the competition. Ariel admitted she never made Chinese food but she ordered it before (too funny) Her dish was off balance with flavor and was too watery, plus she stuttered explaining her dish. Kevin forgot the chocolate sauce in his dish. Two out of the three liked it anyway. Dave admitted he had never made Indian food. All the Chefs enjoyed the food although it offends some Indians to eat pork…

Dave won the competition. His reward was to eat what the chefs prepared for him, plus he won cookware. Dave’s sister and fiance also got to join him to eat.

During service the appetizers went out quickly. Kevin was called up first to run the pass. He started out strong. Then Kevin started being too picky about Ariel’s lamb. Next Ariel started making mistakes and held up the kitchen. Dave was next to take over and he was way intense. It did help things move along quickly though. When Dave was tested on the risotto he went to send it out and failed. He also failed the second sabotage dish. He picked things up in the end. Ariel was last to go up to the pass.  Ariel also failed her first quality control test, but passed the second. Ariel lost control of the kitchen mainly because Kevin was trying to make her look bad. (what a jerk!)

Chef Ramsay admitted this was the most difficult challenge before telling them to decide Who they think should go home. Ariel and Kevin nominated each other and Dave nominated Ariel. Dave and Kevin made it to the finals and Ariel was eliminated. Honestly I didn’t think Ariel would make to the finals. Now I’m just praying Dave wins.

The show continued with Dave and Kevin getting a limmo to downtown los Angeles to meet Chef Ramsay and make a dish.Whoever got three Chefs to pick their dish first would win. Dave made venison and Kevin made vanilla butter poached lobster. The first judge picked Dave’s dish.The second also picked Dave’s dish. The third and fourth picked Kevin’s dish. The fifth Judge picked Dave’s dish and he won the battle.

The guys then had to make their menus. As usual all the contestants came back to help with service. Dave’s first pic was Ariel then Robert finally Suzanne, Kevin’s were Van then Amanda and last to be picked was Sabrina. Kevin’s food all looked brilliant Said Chef.

After the guys got their executive chef jackets it was time to start service. Everyone they were serving were Chefs. Dave’s menu was going good and his appetizers were flying out. Kevin was at a stall because of Amanda. 40 min. into service and nothing of Kevin’s had been sent out. Kevin had to switch their stations, and his appetizers finally started to go out. Amanda also sent out under cooked risotto. Van helped take control though. The Chefs from the Araxi Restaurant were there and their opinions counted more than others.  Towards the end Ariel started messing up the venison and she also sent out raw salmon.

After service both the guys were called to Chef’s office. It was then time to turn the  handle of the doors to see who won. Dave won Hell’s Kitchen and got to become head chef at the Araxi Restaurant in British Columbia. Yeah! He worked so hard for it. He fought through so much pain with a fractured wrist, I honestly don’t even know how he did it but I’m so happy for him!
