After his arrival to his hometown Adam went to Brennan and Carr Restaurant to try the gargulio (a cheeseburger topped with roast beef and sauteed onions then dipped). They simmer natural juices from the roast for hours to dip their sandwiches in. That is just genius to combine a french dip with a cheeseburger. I wish there was such thing as smellavision, or maybe not. That could just make me hungrier.
Then he went to Spumoni Gardens to try the square “thick crust Sicilian style pizza”. On the square they add the cheese before the sauce, then it’s dusted with Romano cheese, and topped with olive oil. The owner started Spumoni Gardens on a horse and buggy that served spumoni ice cream which is chocolate, vanilla and pistachio ice cream.
Finally Adam came to face his demons one more time by trying the suicide six wing challenge once again at Buffalo Cantina. Buffalo Cantina is also known for their tacos and burritos. The suicide wing sauce is created with Jalapeno, Serrano, chili de arbol, and habanero peppers. The thing that makes the challenge harder is that you have to keep the food in your mouth till the timer is up. That must be the hottest challenge ever because I’ve never seen Adam wear rubber gloves in a challenge. Adam struggled through the challenge but he finished all the wings. What a rematch! This week on Man v. Food man won!
